Why I started this

I'm rooting for us.

I want women going through the middle season of life to feel seen, understood, and heard. I want them to feel confident advocating for themselves and to learn everything they can about perimenopause and menopause — because knowledge is power. There is a calmness that comes from that knowledge. When we can name what we are experiencing, we stop feeling like something is wrong with us. We feel less alone. We can advocate for what we need, whether that is in a doctor's office, at home, or in our personal relationships.

When I first started going through perimenopause, nobody had prepared me for it. It felt dark and lonely. I didn't want that for anyone else.

I am not here to replace your doctor. I am not a coach. I am a hairstylist who has been having honest, enriching conversations with women for over 30 years. Writing these letters is my way of connecting beyond my chair. It fills my heart.

I started Joy Seeker Letters because community gives me purpose. If I can help just one woman feel seen, heard, and comforted, that brings me more joy than I can say. This is just a season. We are passing through it. And we will get through it together.

When does my letter ship?

Letters ship on the 20th of each month. Order by the 15th to receive that month's letter. Miss the 15th and you'll start with the following month.

What actually comes in the envelope?

Eight or more things, none of them filler: a personal letter written by me, a Sacred Word scripture card, a cassette-style music card with a Spotify playlist QR, a hormone-friendly recipe card with macros, an AI Tool card with a free Claude-powered tool, a magnetic monthly calendar, stickers, and a Joy Drop surprise.

What is the difference between the subscription plans?

Same beautiful letter every month, no matter which plan. Month-to-month gives you flexibility to cancel anytime before the 15th. The 3, 6, and 12 month plans are paid upfront — you pay once and the letters just show up.

Can I gift this to someone?

Yes. Any plan can be gifted. Or choose the one-time gift option for $14.11 — one letter, one time. Just enter her address at checkout and add a personal note.

Can I order a past issue?

Yes. Past issues are available as one-time purchases for $14.11. They include everything from the original envelope except the monthly calendar. They ship within 3 to 5 business days.

What is the AI Tool Card?

Each month your envelope includes a card with a QR code linking to a free tool I built using Claude AI — something useful for the season you are in. Doctor visit prep, hormone symptom tracker, things that actually help. You scan it, you use it. No tech experience needed.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Month-to-month subscribers can cancel anytime before the 15th. Prepaid plans are paid in full upfront and are not refundable, but you will receive every letter you paid for.

Who writes the letter?

I do. Every single month. It is not a newsletter. It is not AI-generated. It is a personal letter written by one woman trying to seek her joy with a vengeance — and hoping to create that connection with you.
